A well-established Midlands firm is looking for a legal secretary to work at their Redditch office.
The firm would like a legal secretary to take on a role that comprises of both legal secretary and office manager duties.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Secretary Duties:
·Document Preparation: Draft, type, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms (e.g., contracts, pleadings, and court forms).
·Filing and Case Management: Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.
·Client Liaison: Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from clients, solicitors, courts, and other stakeholders.
·Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate meetings, client consultations, and court dates for solicitors, ensuring the office calendar is up-to-date.
·Research: Assist solicitors with legal research, document retrieval, and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Office Management Duties:
·Office Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including managing office supplies, equipment, and office maintenance.
·Finance Support: Handle basic bookkeeping duties such as invoice processing, billing, and liaising with accountants for payroll and financial reporting.
·Compliance: Ensure the office is compliant with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, Health & Safety) and assist with the management of client data confidentiality.
·HR Support: Assist with basic HR duties, including maintaining personnel records, onboarding new staff, and ensuring a positive office environment.
·Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and distributing post.
Qualifications & Experience:
·Previous experience in a legal secretary/office manager role is essential.
· 
The role will be full-time, permanent and salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
