A very well-established Berkshire firm is looking for a Head of Finance to work out of their Windsor office.  
 
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
·Manage the full billing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
·Monitor payments and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
·Maintain precise financial transaction records
·Strengthen fee earner-client relationships through transparent financial communication
 Financial Reporting
·Provide clear insight into the firm's financial health
·Produce reports that support strategic decision-making
·Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards
 General Accounting Duties
·Supervision and monitoring of the accounts function
·Monitor income, expenditure, and budget adherence
·Post monthly journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
·Process VAT returns
·Perform bank reconciliations
·Manage payroll processing and PAYE/NI payments
·Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
·Manage SAR audits and liaise with banks and HMRC
·Support senior management with financial analysis and respond to partner/staff queries
Compliance & Risk Management
·Assist with compliance across SRA rules, GDPR, AML, COFA and other regulatory frameworks
·Manage professional indemnity insurance and other firm-wide policies
·Act as the primary contact for audits and regulatory reviews
·Support fee earners with client onboarding and KYC processes
The role will be full-time, permanent and salary around the 55k level.
